Free Beef Fridays: May Calendar
Free Beef Fridays run year-round here at the ranch, and the May calendar is packed with something good every single Friday. Spend $100 in the shop and walk out with a featured cut on us.
- MAY 1 2 lbs of ground beef
- MAY 8 Bavette (perfect for Mother’s Day taco night!)
- MAY 15 1 pack of patties
- MAY 22 T-bone
- MAY 29 Two Wagyu Delmonicos
This is our little way of saying thank you for supporting a local ranch. Every Friday in May the shop is open, the coffee is on, and that Friday’s featured cut is on us when you spend $100 in the shop.
Bring a friend, tell a neighbor, and try a cut you haven’t grilled before. Mark your calendars — we’ll see y’all on Friday.

Stock Up For Summer
School’s almost out and the grills are heating up. Whether it’s Memorial Day, the 4th of July, weeknight burgers, kids’ birthdays, or late nights with the neighbors, it all takes ground beef.
Pick a 50, 100, or 200 lb box of Hooser Reserve or Wagyu, vacuum sealed and ready for the freezer, and save up to $500 versus per pound retail.
Hooser Reserve is our house ground beef from cattle raised right here on the ranch. Wagyu is the upgrade for special nights, smash burgers, and lasagnas the kids will be talking about for weeks. Either way, it’s 100 percent Texas grown and finished, vacuum sealed in 1 lb or 2 lb packs, and built to live easy in the freezer until you need it.
Pickup at the ranch or delivery in our zone. Order online or give us a call to lock yours in before grilling season hits full speed.

The Corn is Over a Foot Tall
The corn went in not that long ago, and it’s already over a foot tall out in the fields. Walking the rows this time of year never gets old, watching a brand new crop stretch up out of the dirt a little more each day. Here’s hoping for steady rains and a good growing season ahead.

Working Cattle This Spring
If you’ve heard us talk about “working cattle” and wondered what in the world that means, this is it. Every spring we round up the herd for a full check-up: vaccinations, ear tags, a careful look at each animal, and making sure the new calves are healthy and paired up with their mamas. It’s long, dusty days in the pens, but it’s how we make sure every steak that ends up on your plate came from a well-cared-for animal.

Howdy friends, Maggie Moo here and I’ve got big news this month! I’m hitting the road all May long in my Maggie Moo Mobile, cruising around to deliveries and making new friends all over. Happy 3rd Birthday, Maggie Moo!
Our ranch mascot turns 3 on April 28, and we couldn’t be prouder of our girl. Maggie Moo has become the face families look for when they pull up the drive, and this year she’s got a big birthday week planned with her May Round-Up contest kicking off right after. Stop by the shop to help us wish her a happy birthday, and start watching for the Maggie Moo Mobile come May 1.

We send roughly 20 to 30 head of cattle to the processor every month, which means the shop stays stocked with fresh cuts year-round. If you’re in the market for a quarter, half, or whole beef, just let us know and we’ll get you on the list. Fresh cuts, ready for everyone and anyone looking to stock the freezer.
