Build a Ranch Snack Board

Feeds 6 to 8, about 10 minutes

Ingredients

• Beef Snack Stick 8oz
• Sharp cheddar, cubed
• Pepper jack or smoked gouda
• Grainy mustard
• Baby dill pickles
• Crackers or crusty bread
• Honey and pecans, optional

Method

1. Slice summer sausage on a hard angle, about 1/4 inch thick. The angle gives you a bigger slice and it looks better on the board.
2. Leave snack sticks whole and stand them in a bundle or fan them from one corner.
3. Cube the cheese ahead and let it sit out 20 minutes. Cold cheese has almost no flavor.
4. Start with the three or four biggest items spaced apart, then fill the gaps with crackers.
5. Put the mustard and pickles in small bowls so they do not run into everything.
6. Finish with honey and pecans in the empty spots if you want it to look finished.

Ranch tip: Build it on the biggest board you own and overfill it. A board with space left on it reads as not enough food.
