Build a Ranch Snack Board
Ingredients
- Cheese Snack Stick 8oz
- Sharp cheddar, cubed
- Pepper jack or smoked gouda
- Grainy mustard
- Baby dill pickles
- Crackers or crusty bread
- Honey and pecans, optional
Method
- Slice summer sausage on a hard angle, about 1/4 inch thick. The angle gives you a bigger slice and it looks better on the board.
- Leave snack sticks whole and stand them in a bundle or fan them from one corner.
- Cube the cheese ahead and let it sit out 20 minutes. Cold cheese has almost no flavor.
- Start with the three or four biggest items spaced apart, then fill the gaps with crackers.
- Put the mustard and pickles in small bowls so they do not run into everything.
- Finish with honey and pecans in the empty spots if you want it to look finished.
Ranch tip: Build it on the biggest board you own and overfill it. A board with space left on it reads as not enough food.
